This Austrian military uniform coat, known as the Rock, is a historically accurate reproduction based on the official 1836 and 1840 regulations and surviving original coats. It is carefully recreated with authentic period cut, materials, and construction details.
The coat is available for every branch and unit, with colours matched to historical service:
- White: infantry, dragoons, and cuirassiers
- Green: chevau-légers
- Brown: Grenzers and artillery
- Pike grey (Hechtgrau): Jägers
- Cornflower blue: pioneers
Made from quality wool broadcloth and lined with natural hemp canvas (Zwilch), the coat is finished with plain, slightly domed brass or pewter buttons. Hungarian and Grenz regiment versions feature the distinctive pointed cuffs with a white cloth stylised “bear’s paw” detail.
