British Royal Marines Private’s Coat, 1768–1788, faithfully reconstructed from surviving Foot Guards coats preserved in the United Kingdom and period paintings, prints, and illustrations depicting Royal Marines uniforms.
Made from traditional madder-red broadcloth, this coat features a white baize lining, hand-worked buttonholes, and pewter-style buttons arranged in paired sets, as commonly seen on Royal Marines coats of the era. In keeping with historical accuracy, the design has no lace trim.
Available in standard sizes, including an extra-large modern size, or made to your own measurements for a custom fit.
